At the beginning of June thieves damaged St Luke's copper canopy on the parish centre entrance.
What we didn't know until the 21st of June is that thieves had also stolen a large amount of lead from the roof of the church too!
Following a heavy storm church goers were distressed to discover the rain pouring into their beloved church. A massive clean up operation has since been taking place. Closer inspection has estimated repairs costing in the region of £20,000!
Now St Luke's needs your help to repair the damage this thoughtless act has caused.
