"For the last 10 years Helplanka with the support of established partners and a number of UK schools and sister charities and organisations have provided educational aid, teacher training, counselling, built a school and 11 houses , provided child sponsorship, school twinning, IT support, uniforms, shoes, books toys , and managed a highly successful UK volunteering programme . We are a team of 10 passionate St. Michael's School students currently studying at the sixth form. We have been given the opportunity to take part and contribute to this very worthwhile and amazing cause. However, funding is needed to provide the much needed support, sports equipment and teaching resources to impoverished rural primary and secondary schools, orphanages and convalescent homes.

We will be travelling to Sri Lanka in June 2018. Our mission is to provide the local children with new knowledge, exciting and engaging resources, special memories and a chance to create a better future for themselves.

The funds raised will greatly help the quality of life for many of the children we will be teaching and supporting during our visit.
