Story
Stacey Booth from Remembrance Community Funeral Services will be doing all kinds of fundraising in the community throughout 2022 to raise £4000.00 for Defibrillator's across Hattersley.
For every minute someone is in cardiac arrest without CPR and access to a defibrillator, their chances of survival drops by up to 10%. Having a public access defibrillator (PAD) available in an emergency can be life saving, especially in rural areas where ambulance response times may be longer.
Five points have been selected where we think the Defibrillators will be most beneficial:
1) Shop front - Remembrance Community Funeral Services, One Stop Shop/Post Office, The Glow Up, Pete's Chippy and The Harehill Tavern. Valley Parade, Hattersley Road West, Hyde SK14 3FL
2) The meeting point at St Barnabas Church, Hattersley Road East, Hyde SK14 3EQ
3) The Hattersley Projects off Union Close, Hattersley Road West, Hyde SK14 3GJ
4) The Hattersley Railway Station, SK14 3LQ
5) Kiddie Day Kare, Chapman Arms, Stockport Road, Hyde SK14 3QF

2 years agoHi everyone, I have just gone to add 2 new donations which was raised this weekend for our Defibrillator Fundraiser but it will not allow me too🤷♀️. I will be contacting them 1st thing in the morning to see why this has happened. But I like to keep everyone updated with fundraising on this page. Payments to add: We another £30 raised from a community event held this weekend sent by Betty Affleck & Jacqueline Owen. £28 raised by our weekly lotto. So £58 this week so our new total will be £1,202 once the add payment issue has been resolved X

2 years agoWe've had some fantastic news this morning! Someone has contacted us who can provide us with the 5 defibrillator for £3000 cheaper than we have been originally quoted🙏 So our target now is £4000 instead of £7000❤ Let's get fundraising. We can do this! If everyone in our community donated £1 we would be able to hit this target sooner🤞.
