    Story

Firstly I want to thank you all for taking the time to read my story...

In August 2013, at the young age of 33, I was diagnosed with MS. Hearing those words from the neurologist will live with me forever as that was the day my life turned around. It was hard to believe that I had just got married in the June of that same year, had twins 2 years previous, my life was to me, perfect!

Looking back, I had known for a while something wasn't right, but always put my symptoms down to anxiety, that was until I lost my vision for a few weeks before my wedding. As a human, we are all in denial of anything serious, and being a mum that made me even more determined to shut away my symptoms and put it down to the stress of the wedding. However it was being a mum that made me wake up and realise I had to do something. After having a brain scan it was confirmed, that I unfortunately had Multiple Sclerosis.

The last few years have definitely been challenging, and also eye opening, making me even more determined to not let this lifelong disease get me down or even affect my way of living, and I know that I am not alone in this journey, and for that reason to thank all those other amazing people who share my journey, as its not a disease to me, its a journey, I want to do my bit to help MS Society Charity.

I have organised a fundraising night - on the 11th February 2017 at The Edinburgh Capital Hotel - to raise both, awareness and as much money as I can for MS Society, to help find a cure for this debilitating disease. As part of my event I will be holding a prize raffle and charity auction on the night. The reason I am reaching out to you all, is to ask you kindly for any donations and prizes large or small for to contribute to my event. I would be extremely grateful for anything you could offer - as you have no idea how much even the smallest donation can help.xxx
