The St Albans Half Marathon is a very big day and we could not run the event without the continued support from the local voluntary organisations who marshal our event,

Every year through rain or shine, these voluntary groups: marshal the routes, have a presence in the runner’s village and help with the setup/ take down of the event.

This is why St Albans Half Marathon is a registered charity. Our goal is to donate as much money as possible to these marshal groups. All of our marshals volunteer their time in order to raise money for their charity/organisation. These groups range from scout groups and school PTA's to children's charities and sports clubs.

We would like to say a BIG thank you to all the voluntary organisations that have helped with the event over the years and we look forward to raising as much money as possible in order to support you further.
