Story
In response to numerous requests from some very kind and concerned members in the local community, we have now set up this JustGiving page. The Cricket Club was broken into over the Christmas Holidays, and substantial damage was done to both the interior and exterior of the club, including the cellar, which was broken into and emptied.
In addition to having to pay a considerable policy excess in claiming on the club insurance, at this stage, we also do not know to what extent these substantial losses to the club will be covered. Furthermore, the claim on the policy itself is also likely to impact significantly upon the cost of any premiums payable in the future.
In addition, the club will also have to invest further limited funds into redecorating, and in particular, security in and around the club.
Thank you all for the many kind messages received in support of this (your) community asset.
