Hi & thank you, whoever you are, wherever you are, for taking the time to hear about a funny, caring yet very poorly man, Stanley Hendren, also known as (Rayo)

This letter is written by his daughters, Hayley, Vicky & his eldest grandchild Mia, of whom idea it was to reach out on Justgiving.

Rayo is 67 years old & is a true gentleman, he greets everybody with a huge smile & is a ray of sunshine.
He still pops to the shops for his mum Winnie who is 86 years young, almost everyday of the week or when the house phone rings!
He then cooks his mum breakfast & they have a quick chin wag.

He is then the full time loving carer for his wife Karen, his dedication, love & commitment to others is overwhelming.

Rayo & his wife Karen Managed The Park Side Pub in Manchester for many years & are both very well liked in the local community.

He also worked up until 64 years of age at Manchester Citys ground, where he was awarded a trophy from all the kitchen staff for being "The Funniest Pot Washer"
A small & humorous jesture that really touched Rayo & reflects his true nature.

Rayo was unfortunately diagnosed with Cancer over 2 years ago & has won 2 battles already.
At his lowest point, he weighed a mere 4st 3lbs, he fought on & with the fantastic care he received from all the wonderful doctors & nurses at Christies Hospital, he has lived to spread more joy to others.
