Earlier this year, Stanley's family were devastated to learn that their little baby boy was suffering from the terminal genetic condition Tay-Sachs, this life limiting disease will see a progressive decline in his health, already he is unable to move, swallow or eat, he has multiple seizures every day and night, often causing him to stop breathing, his eyesight has all but gone, there is no cure, only treatment for the various symptoms to ease his suffering. He is cared for at home by his parents and his 6 yr old brother, and as such he is in need of various specialist equipment. He needs a specially adapted buggy chair with a mounded seat, regular massage therapies and physiotherapy due to his immobility, as well as respite care at Bluebells so the family can enjoy quality precious time together, making memories and where they access to their hydro pool and sensory room. These things really enhance Stanley's life no end and ease the burden on a family nursing a very poorly child. Many children diagnosed with Tay-Sachs do not live past 5, so every moment they get to spend as a family is precious. Thank you for our reading our story
