Due to the recent budget cuts that all schools are facing, St Bart's does not have the money to carry out much needed refurbishments. A group of teachers and friends of the school are going to be completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money towards the costs of the work.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. In total the walk is around 25 miles.

The walk will be starting at Horton in Riddlesdale at 8am and planning on finishing 12 hours later at 8pm. Essentially this will be like walking a marathon with 3 large peaks to encounter in between the start and the finish. Let's hope the weather holds out!
