Story
I work as a volunteer for St Christopher's Hospice and see first hand the huge benefits many patients experience from regular exercise in our gym facilities. Despite their often chronic illness exercise can improve mobility, well being and confidence.
The success of the hospice "Get Active" programme has led to an urgent need to acquire a vital piece of equipment. A Motomed exercise machine provides a range of leg and arm/upper body therapy to patients whether wheelchair bound or not.
Together with fellow volunteers, staff and patients we are undertaking a virtual London to Paris and back bike ride using the existing Motomed machine during down time. If we can generate £9.50 per mile for the 584 mile round trip then we can buy the new machine.
The hospice has to rely on the generosity of the public and business to continue its truly amazing work and the Motomed is part of that.
Thanking you in advance for your help in this truly amazing work.
We have raised £3500 in offline donations which can be added to the total above :-)

It's wonderful work you do at the hospice, and nice idea to virtually cycle to Paris!
