Besstel Child and Adult Psychiatric Foundation, was inaugurated in Ghana in March 2018 as a non governmental, non profit making organization. Besstel hosted five mental health professionals from United Kingdom during the inauguration who came to support the Foundation to adopt Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital in Cape Coast as our test case project site.

The team spent a day at Ankaful Hospital to conduct teaching sessions with the medical staff that treated couple of topics with emphasis on occupational therapy which the hospital lacks at the wards.

Besstel is in a process of raising funds to purchase various occupational therapy materials such as board games and outdoor games for the hospital. The funds raised will be used to purchase the said materials and other stuff to be shipped to Ghana.

As part of the activities lined up in Ghana by Besstel to create mental health awareness campaign come October 2018, another group of UK medical volunteers will join us in Ghana to donate the materials and implement occupational therapy activities in all the seven wards at the hospital.

Our target for the fund raiser is £1,000.00.
