Who knows why we thought it would be a good idea but myself and Ged McDade have signed up for Tough Mudder next month in order to raise money for two causes very close to our hearts. We have chosen Ward 3A of the childrens hospital in Glasgow (formerly Yorkhill) in memory of my cousin Caitlin O’Neill who we sadly lost in 2008 when she was just 12. Caitlin suffered from a rare metabolic disorder (OTC) which resulted in her spending a large amount of her life in Yorkhill where the care she received was amazing. We have also chosen to raise money for cancer in memory of my gran and Ged’s mother-in-law, Anne McDade as she sadly passed away in September after her battle with cancer. Her battle was relatively short but extremely long at the same time, she fought her hardest to overcome this horrible disease, however, it was unfortunately a fight she couldn’t win. Myself and Ged have decided it’s our turn to step up and raise some money for these wonderful causes who are in constant need of funds to continue to do all the amazing work they do to help people like Caitlin and Anne.

We would both like to thank you for taking the time to read this and for any donations made, no matter how small, every single penny makes a massive difference. All money raised will be equally split between the two causes after the event.
