Hi Everyone! I'm fundraising money on behalf of SLV volunteers, so on June 4th I am able to fly out to Sri Lanka for a 5 week placement, helping vulnerable locals suffering with mental health issues and learning disabilities.

Mental health is such a controversial issue that is stigmatized greatly in Sri Lanka, with those suffering with mental health very little vital services to provide treatment and support. Because the access to these services are difficult, the work done by this project is so essential to provide medical attention, to spread mental health awareness and improve the physical, emotional and mental well-being of those in need.

Over the 5 weeks, I will be participating in a variety of projects in a psychiatric hospital and rehabilitation center, providing support to children and vulnerable adults who have special needs, and teach English to help communication and employment opportunities.

The work done by SLV is incredible, making sure these children they get the help they need, any donations towards this cause would be hugely appreciated!! Thank you :)
