Crowdfunding is the new way to raise money for a personal cause on JustGiving.
An article in the Ipswich Star on 2nd November stated
Kerry Samain, of Black Horse Lane, Ipswich, pleaded guilty before the town’s magistrates to begging in a public place on August 9.
Prosecutor David Bryant said the 37-year-old was caught during a police operation focussing on begging in the town.
An inspector in plain clothes walked by Samain twice as she was sitting down in Cox Lane. On both occasions she asked for any spare change.
This vulnerable person described in the Ipswich Star as a 'beggar' must pay costs of £50 to the court and £20 to the victims’ fund.
Who exactly is the victim here? I'll let you decide.

Thanks very much to you all for supporting my recent fundraising effort. I visited the Chapman Centre last week to see the brilliant work that Sue and her team are doing throughout the year. They work to tackle the issues that lead to homelessness and deal with its devastating consequences for their clients. A shower, warm, clean clothes and hot food are just the starting point.
