Saw Nay Soe has a burning ambition to be a teacher. He already has some teaching experience, a GED certificate and a place at university. He also has 40% from one donor and another organisation considering matching, so this is to top up the final £1,000 needed to get him into uni in July.

Nay Soe left his home after Grade 4 and went to live in a refugee camp because there was no Grade 5 in his village. After that he moved around and eventually went to Love and Care where he completed his Grade 12. As migrant schools are not recognised by the government, he couldn't go to university directly, and so he went to Brighter Futures, where he learnt to be a teacher and did an internship at a local primary school.

After that, he came back and assisted with the running of the school whilst studying for the American GED (high school equivalency certificate). He passed all subjects first time, and has a place waiting for him at the Asia-Pacific International University to study Education. After he graduates, he hopes to return to his village and work with the leaders so that future generations don't need to leave their homeland.
