Ready Steady Downs provides friendship and support to families in the North West who have a child, who has Down Syndrome. I have a six year old son who has Down syndrome so myself and nine of my friends are taking part in the Chain Runner 10k Mudder event in March 2018. The group exists because of valuable fundraising.

Ready Steady Downs was born from the knowledge that support and guidance from other parents of children with Down syndrome was an invaluable lifeline. Created by local parents who established a baby and toddler group, it soon began discussing the best way to bring families of school age children with Down syndrome together. In April 2015, Ready Steady Downs was proud to launch their monthly Saturday Club. The group was aimed at bringing together all of our members from birth up to teens. The group provides the children with arts and crafts, soft play, music and dance, physical activities to assist development, an annual family day out, guest visitors and speakers. It enables parents to support each other by sharing advise, experiences and friendship. Without fundraising none of this would be possible.
