Story

You aIl know I love a challenge and I will be using my latest challenge to raise money for causes very close to my heart.

Firstly, my father in law Stan Tokley sadly passed away on Sunday 8th December. Thankfully, it was a peaceful end to his battle against two illnesses: Lewys Body Dementia and Parkinsons. On their own each one represents a significant challenge, but together they are both mentally and physically crippling. Stan’s passing has strengthened my resolve and he will be my inspiration when the going gets tough.

Secondly, my wife has supported an orphanage in Nepal for many years. Orphans with tragic stories are given a chance to live a life through her and her friends' (Julia and Jan) hard work. Watching them go on to lead independent lives with a future career and a chance in life is fantastic. They are truly grateful. Take a look at their website and read some of their stories. www.cpsnepal.co.uk

I am going to push myself to my limits to persuade you to part with as much cash as possible to raise money for these causes. Tragically, many of you will have been touched by Alzhiemer's (in our case Lewys Body Dementia) or Parkinsons. You certainly all will know someone who needs a chance in life like the orpans in Nepal. All money raised will be split evenly across the 3 charities.

All of my races were cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19 and so everything has been deferred to 2021. On 10th April 2021 I will complete my first warm up event. A 50km Ultra Challenge race starting in Windsor. I will then have another 50km event (Roche Abbey Ultra) on 16th May and a 60km event (Sunset Run) on 12th June before the big one!!

On 3rd July 2021 I take on the main event. A 100km (62.5 miles or nearly two and a half marathons) Ultra Challenge event up, down and around the Peak District in a single day. That's 250km in total just from the events themselves. When you throw in the training miles that's a lot. So dig deep people.

I wont need donations to get me to the finish line. Thinking about the causes and my reasons for challenging myself like this will do that. That said, your money will help. Let's do this......
