Please take a moment to read Harrison's story told here by his parents -
We are hoping to raise £30,000 to fund a more capable prosthetic limb for our brave and courageous son Harrison. He lost his leg in 2015 at aged 16 . This was the result of an aggressive , vile bone cancer (Osteosarcoma). The tumour at diagnosis was 17cm long and was pushing through his knee joint . The pain was excruciating and the cancer was threatening to take his young life.

He would like to walk again one day , with a prosthetic limb that won't use two thirds of his energy. He would like to be able to run just enough to catch a bus and get back on his beloved bicycle.

Our lives were changed forever in September 2014, when we were given the devastating Cancer diagnosis . Osteosarcoma is a vile , highly aggressive disease which after a long battle , Harri continues to beat this and is Cancer free.

We are so proud of our son, he has had to fight for his life. against this devastating and destructive disease. Enduring 18 doses of high dose chemo and nine months of immunotherapy treatment and the horrendous side effects.

In order to have the best chance of beating this , he made the tough decision to have the amputation of his leg in January 2015.

His dream is to have a more capable limb which will give him a chance of leading a more normal life . The limb available on the NHS is a pretty basic limb, heavy and cumbersome and will limit his mobility compared to other more advanced limbs that are out there, but unfortunately, come at a price. Xx
