Weʼve raised £145 to help fund EDRU World Championships in Australia 2018
- Plymouth, United Kingdom
- Funded on Friday, 20th April 2018
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I am currently looking to raise funds to enable me to represent my country in the next Deaf Rugby World Championships which are set to take place in Australia in April 2018. As the England Deaf Rugby Union (EDRU) are a registered charity, which operates on an amateur basis, we do rely on sponsorship and donations. Therefore, to ensure England are able participate in the 2018 World championships, the players (myself included) are self-funding this tournament, and so I would like to ask for your help!
If anyone is in a position to donate, no matter how much, I would be really grateful for any support.
Funds will be used to cover costs of travel, accommodation etc and are currently estimated around £1500.00 per player. If however, final costs are less, any surplus funds raised will be donated to the EDRU charity.

I have played rugby all my life. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Meniere’s disease, which has contributed to my progressive loss of hearing. In 2016, I was privileged to be chosen to join the England Deaf Rugby squad where I received my first cap against wales in Jan '17.
