Please support the reopening of The Old George Fair Oak, the pub was originally open approx 300 years ago as a coaching Inn and has been at the heart of our community ever since. After 3 months of not trading since the Covid 19 pandemic The old George is taking the first tentative steps towards reopening and welcoming its loyal customers back. Many costly changes will be needed in order for this to happen, tables and chairs, umbrellas, and gazebos are needed to extend the outside seating in order to keep people safe in line with government regulations. But most importantly the pub is in need of its first beer order. This is a huge outlay and with no help from Enterprise Inn the brewery and owners of the building this is virtually impossible task. We all have very fond memories of The Old George, and it would be a shame for the pub to have to shut its doors for good. It doesn't matter how little or how much you are willing to donate, every little helps. We are calling on a huge community spirited fund raise to reopen this very special place. We are not 100% certain what the government will decide is acceptable, however, if we dont take these steps the summer will be over before it has begun.
