Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I'm taking part in this years St Helens Triathlion to help raise funds for the Teardrops supporting the homeless charity.
There is currently no overall provision for homeless people in St Helens, Teardrops – working with other providers – plan to provide an end to end solution that will provide a homeless person with the chance to move from being homeless to one where they will have the opportunity to more fully integrate into day to day society. This opportunity will be developed via guided learning and skills training with the objective of moving them into regular housing and having the capability to support themselves with an additional twelve months support from the Team once they have been housed.
Teardrops have set-up a Hub in St Helens for the homeless that will provide education to schools, groups and clubs in the form of two workshops per week. In the workshops, they will cook a healthy meal for the night café, learn about stigmas and barriers people face when homeless, also Arts, looking at positive wellbeing.
Thank you for visiting and thank you so much if you have donated, it's very much appreciated.
