Weʼve raised £810 to help fund the maintenance of the churchyard. The Volunteers can only do so much, then we get the professionals in !

Funded on Monday, 28th February 2022

    Story

(The latest page is at donate.prestwich.org.uk) The volunteers of the St Mary's CAG can only do so much, we plant bulbs, pick litter, cut brambles, perform minor repair to graves and paths, but when we need heavy lifting or work completed to modern safety standards we get the professionals in.

With your help (no donation too small) we can fund restoration of stone work that has been damaged by time, trees, foxes, or sadly, even vandals :-(

This page allows for people to donate towards the upkeep of the churchyard, Whether you've just wandered through the churchyard and enjoyed your visit or perhaps we've helped you locate a family grave. Maybe you bumped into one of us in the churchyard and been subjected to an impromptu tour.. Maybe you live far away, holding dear your memories of time spent in Prestwich and just want to be generous. Feel free to leave a message with your donation so we know how or when we helped you.

We have some amazing stories to tell you about the people who are buried in our ancient Parish Church., and are opening up again to groups....watch this space for dates ! But in the meantime stay safe at home and read about the church and it's history at Prestwich.org.uk

Also here's a mini-tour to wet your whistle..

Volunteers have also installed a rainwater run off to try and reduce the erosion from the down pours.

Hi everyone, just to let you know that we've started work improving the pathway from St Mary's Flower Park into Prestwich Clough, which passes through the churchyard. We're adding drain ditches and new gravel to make the walk way less muddy. We'll also be installing new/replacement benches in the churchyard and hope to see the stonemason on site to perform some repairs in March. Thanks once again for your kind donations.
