St Mary's Court is a Sheltered housing scheme for people aged 55 years and older, situated on South Eldon Street, South Shields. They are a tight knit community, a family with a warm welcome to new residents.
All year they have held coffee mornings and fetes in their communal lounge to raise funds for their Christmas Dinner and Tree.
On Friday 16th November, the master key was stolen from the Manager's office and this vile individual/group has been using the key to enter properties when empty and steal anything of value that is small enough to sneak out - mainly cash.
One disabled resident has had her cash and love 2 shop vouchers stolen, she has nothing! To add salt to the wound, they have stolen the money that had been saved up all year by the residents to have the Christmas they deserve.

My family reside there and I am thoroughly disgusted that someone would steal, let alone target a vulnerable group of people who should be living their golden years stress free.

It is a police matter, however it is unlikely the funds are going to be recovered. This is why I'm asking for your help towards paying for the Christmas dinner and Tree that they deserve. Any help would be appreciated x
