We have been working away behind the scene's to raise £50k+ to replace the condemned play equipment at St Teath Playing Field to provide a safe, fun environment where children aged 2-16 years and of different abilities are welcome and will encourage more children to take part in a wide range of “free play”.

St Teath took on this asset from Cornwall Council on a long term agreement but unfortunately we cannot afford to replace the equipment. Thus, if funding cannot be sourced the play area will become redundant and we will surrender our interest in the land due to the financial pressures.

We want to ensure that the equipment we choose for the park is well used and have consulted widely with parents, Pre School and Primary School (and more importantly the children in the area) to make sure it is the sort of equipment that is really wanted. We all know that getting children outside running around and playing improves their health (both physical and mental) and their socialisation skills. Without a safe play space locally children are often forced to stay indoors, watch TV and play on games consoles.

So with just £1250 left to raise please help us share this story far and wide!! As soon as we reach our goal we can place the order <3
