Stuart Collins was a young 1SCOTS Veteran passed away on the 1st Sept 2021. Stuart served with Bravo Company, 1SCOTS during this time he deployed on Op Herrick 11 to Helmand Province, Sangin FOB Wishtan in 2009/10. One of the most dangerous places in the world of any conflict. Stuart was injured by a GSW (Gun Shot Wound) resulting in life changing paralysis from the mid region down. Over the course of the last 12 years, Stuart underwent numerous treatments and operations, whilst he had small improvements he remained in a paralysed state until his untimely passing.

Stuart's death is attributed to his injury from Enemy action whilst serving his Country, Company and Regiment with the upmost bravery and so proudly. His family will receive the support he needs from his Regimental Head Quarters in various capacities. I ask all those who served with him and the public for support to ensure Stuart is remembered with a send off he deserves; as a truly brave, professional Soldier, who was always full of life, spirt and banter throughout all these hard times.
