My Mum, Sandra Digweed, has recently undergone an operation after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She is now unable to work and my Step Father has cut his working hours so that he can do his best to care for her. Obviously this has had an impact on their income and as bills come in for electricity and heating (as she is feeling the cold a lot more) they are struggling to make ends meet. Mum has almost finished her chemotherapy treatment but she will start a course of injections and then radiotherapy early in the New Year. Not to mention another course of tablet medication. As a family we have rallied round and done as much as we can but even that is not enough. I’ve never asked for anything like this before but to be honest, I really can’t think of anything else that I can do to help. Some of you might know my Mum. She will probably not agree with me doing this. She is a proud woman. She is also a fighter. I have forgotten how many times I have prayed for my Mum to have the strength to get through this. So please, if you can find it in your heart to help in some small financial way to alleviate some of the burden and to make her life that little bit better I would be forever grateful. Thank You.
