    Story

Stuart Morris (39) from Helensburgh was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, an aggressive terminal illness, in July last year. MND is a an uncommon condition which mostly effects adults over the age of 60, however it can occur at any age. The disease has a detrimental effect on the nerves in the brain and spine, with time this prevents the signals from the brain reaching the muscles. Therefore this can leave an individual suffering with MND unable to talk, walk, drink and eat.

Stuart Morris previously worked at Aggreko Manufacturing Facility in Dumbarton, as a mechanical engineer. He is a very kind and hard working individual, he would always do his best to help anyone with any problems, especially concerning vehicles as he was previously a motor mechanic.

Stuart and his family appeared on BBC Scotland news on Friday 11th May 2018. The family are at their wits end, they are struggling emotionally, financially and physically. They are in desperate need of financial support, to allow Stuart and his family to enjoy the time they have together and to help with adaptions within their home. Stuart and his family have applied for suitable social housing, as the flat they are currently living in is not suitable for the families needs. Stuarts wife also suffers from ill health due to the crippling effects of type 1 diabetes, which she has undergone numerous operations for and has been left with no sensation in the bottom half of both legs. And unfortunately his Daughter Kaci(16) also suffers from the harmful effects of Cystic Fibrosis.

Please take the time and follow the link provided below to learn more about the Morris family and their unfortunate situation.
