    Story

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves, Rachel Walton, Emily Childs and Ellie Birtley. We are currently second year student Nurse’s at the University of Chester undertaking a three year degree in Adult Nursing. As part of our curriculum, we have the opportunity of undertaking an elective placement anywhere in the world to further enhance our clinical skills for practice, in preparation to become registered nurses.
We have chosen to visit Tanzania as this has one of the poorest health economies in the world. As student Nurses this will help us explore into areas of expertise found nowhere else and fundamentally help us to develop the essential skills of care, compassion and communication upon which to bring back to the UK and further embed within our NHS.

Work the World is a volunteer organisation that facilitates safe opportunities for health care professionals. Funds raised will cover essential costs to facilitate all three of us to volunteer full time in various health care settings for a four week period, supporting local Tanzanian communities. We hope to have funds, to purchase medical supplies for the departments that they are in need of, to enhance their clinical practice.

All donations will be greatly appreciated :-)
