The Halcyon Trust is a non-profit organisation created to fund equipment and therapy for Steve Walsh. Steve is a local man who in 2013 suffered a series of strokes which left him in a locked in condition. i have known Steve and his family for many years, and i have never met a more amazing and strong gang of people. At present Steve is progressing amazingly with his physiotherapy and was able to sit on the side of his bed for the first time in four years!!. this is not cheap and for Steve to continue with his progress it is important that this treatment can continue.
As most of you know I'm new to running, and have surprised my family and friends by completing 5K's and a couple of 10K's. so this mad 52 year old decided one day to run the Manchester half marathon on 28th May 2017. My incentive to do this is to raise some money for Steve so i can help this amazing family in a small way. i would be very grateful for all your help and support along the way.
