On July 26th, Mr Isikeli Lesianawai arrived in England from Fiji on a 6 months holiday period to visit his son who is currently enlisted with the British Army in the 47 Regiment RA. A few weeks later, he suffered a major stroke at his sons home in Larkhill, Wiltshire and was admitted to hospital on the same day. Mr Lesianawai is admitted at Salisbury District hospital and has been for over a month now. He is undergoing physio and recovering well. However, being a non UK resident and with the nature of his illness, Mr Lesianawai has a medical bill of £14000. This financial burden now lies with Mr. Lesianawai and his family, mainly his son and his sons wife. So in true Fijian spirit, we, his sons friends humbly ask that the Fijian community and our friends here in the UK and around the world help us in raising this amount so as to give Mr. Lesianawai and his family a peace of mind, and to help them focus on his recovery alone.
