Story
I am running in the ABP Southampton 10K to raise money for Summer Camp 2017, along with other volunteer members of the Summer Camp team.
This project involves taking a group of Southampton Young Carers between the ages 8-12 on holiday for a week in the summer. The person they care for may be a sibling or parent with a physical or learning disability, mental ill health or have difficulties with drug/alcohol use.
Summer Camp offers them the chance to enjoy new experiences and activities with the full attention of our dedicated Sixth Form team, as well as letting their guard down. The main priority of Summer Camp is to have fun. Pure and simple.
Any donations, large or small, which go towards funding this week, would be greatly appreciated.
