Story
Support for Charlie...
25th FEBRUARY 2018 at The Saddle, Wallasey
Is a day of free music by some amazing local bands to help raise money for baby Charlie and raise awareness of others on the transplant list.
This is a child friendly event...so please come along and show your support for this wonderful baby boy and his family
Charlie was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy which causes the pumping function of the heart to fail. This function is now being carried out by a Berlin heart mechanical support device which Charlie must remain connected to until he receives a heart transplant donor.
In early January Charlie went through a 7 hour operation to connect this device to the ventricles in the heart with open heart surgery.
This is as serious as it's gets...Baby Charlie is a fighter and will have to stay in Newcastle until the gift of a heart is found.
All money raised will go towards helping his family...Carl, Ali, Charlie and their new born twins Lizzy and Rosie.
Carl, originally from Wallasey is a founder member of Groundhog and a regular at The Saddle.
