What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Following a very successful crowdfunding campaign that raised £2,800, Tessy de Nassau is launching a second round of crowfunding. Your generous donations will support Tessy’s NGO Professors Without Borders and help Tessy meet her £12,000 goal.

The Cause

From June 14th to June 15th, 2019 Tessy de Nassau will be participating in Vätternrundan, the largest recreational bicycle ride in the world. Starting and finishing in Motala, Sweden, the course runs 300 kilometres around Lake Vättern.

By donating to this campaign, you will help Professors Without Borders in their mission to improve access to higher education around the world.

PROWIBO develops customized short-term summer schools for institutions that invite us to their campus. PROWIBO supports the summer school model because it has been a proven success among the elite, and we want to make it available to all university students. With the help of their donors and supporters, PROWIBO has hosted summer schools in Sierra Leone, Uganda and Thailand.

Your donations cover the travel and accommodation costs of our volunteer professors as and help us design and distribute custom-made textbooks and writing material to students. Get involved and help Tessy and PROWIBO educate, inspire and empower young people through education!

As a whole, it was a fantastic experience for me, one I will always be proud of. I feel privileged and honoured to have participated in the PROWIBO 2017 Summer School at Fourah Bay College.“-Mucktarr Rashid
