    Story

Here at the Surrey First Aid Society we believe it is crucial to have top-class tuition when learning how to provide life-saving first aid. We work alongside organisations such as St John Ambulance (their Surrey LINKS unit) to train students in this vital skill.

Unfortunately, being a charity, Surrey LINKS' funds are often scarce and it does not have access to it's own training defibrillator - which is the best equipment available to give an accurate representation of how to use a defibrillator (AED) in a real-life situation.

We would love to be able to gift them with this piece of equipment as a thank you for their hard work over the many years training our students to be the best that they can. There is nothing that can prepare someone for having to provide CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) but the most accurate way is through scenario practice involving equipment similar to the real thing.

Please help us to provide Surrey LINKS with the training AED they really need to continue providing the best training possible for those who selflessly take the time to learn this skill. Their commitment means that campus is a safer place.

    FACTS:
Use of a defibrillator is one of the four crucial steps in the Chain of Survival following a cardiac arrest.

Using a defibrillator in this way increases a patient's chance of survival by a huge 40%!

Please give as much as you can to help this cause, any amount will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.
