    Story

Founded in 1881, Sutton & Epsom is one of the oldest active Rugby Clubs in England with a proud and magnificent history. We are an all-inclusive community club, run by an army of volunteers, who manage the club superbly on limited resources.

We are looking to the junior members of the club who will become the next generation of senior players, ensuring they have the equipment they need, providing and improving the very basic facilities at their training ground, and to keep this wonderful rugby club, supporting and including anyone and everyone who wants to get involved, for another 130+ years!

Ryan, the current U14 Head Coach, will be participating in the Montane Yukon Arctic Ultra race, attempting to (mostly) walk 430 miles in the Yukon, Canada in February, 2019. Expecting temperatures of -40 Celsius or lower, this self-supported race has a time limit of 13 days (with other time limits during the race). And there is a link to rugby too! Mad Dog, Lewis Moody MBE, English Rugby legend, and Rugby World Cup winner, attempted this race in 2013, but didn't finish after getting frost bitten while helping and assisting other racers.

I joined the club in 2013. It amazed me that a 1000+ member club could be so welcoming and all-inclusive. Run by volunteers on a shoestring budget. I want to help the next generation of senior players by providing what is needed, that otherwise could not be afforded. #oneclub
