Worthing Swimming Club are organising 2 relay based events at Splashpoint Leisure Centre. 1 for Junior swimmers on Saturday 20th April and 1 for Senior swimmers on Saturday 27th April. This will include swimmers from our club and other local clubs, aqua school and any other swimming supporters. There will be various relay challenges with the key aim of using swimming to raise money.
Talisa-Mae Marsh has been a member of WSC since 2006 and has competed in a number of county and regional events. Recently, on the 4th March Talisa was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and was admitted to Southampton General Hospital at the Teenage and Young Adult unit for 16-24 year olds. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will have to stay in hospital for a minimum of 6 months, until treatment is finished. She has just turned 18 and celebrated with friends and family in Southampton.
As well as raising money for the Teenage and Young Adult Unit at Southampton General Hospital, via the 'Teenage Cancer Trust', (See https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/swim-for-talisa). We are also raising money to support Talisa throughout her ongoing treatment.
