    Story

In February 2014, whilst playing rugby, 26 year old Jack Fishwick was involved in a tragic accident which has, at the moment, left him with little feeling or useful function from the shoulders down. Andy and I are attempting the River Dart 10k swim on Sept 14th to raise funds towards Jack’s ongoing rehabilitation once he leaves Stoke Mandeville hospital to live in his own home. We have set a target but would like to raise much more if possible.

      Update from the Page owner

Thanks to you all for your generosity and support! Andy completed swim in two and half hours, and I did it in 3 hrs. We have raised £2300 to help with Jack's rehabilitation costs. It will all make a difference. Cheers everybody! Andy and Mary (aka Micey and Pants!)

Today we have been swimming at Vobster Quay, a lake for diving and triathlon training in Somerset. We managed a 6 k swim , survived on jelly babies..

Andy and I live in beautiful Dorset by the sea, and are keen seaswimmers all year round. Jack and his girlfriend Fran (pictured above) have stayed with us previously. Fran’s sister Hannah is marrying our son Jack in September. We look forward to seeing them all at the Wedding!
