My brother Deano, a keen footballer needed to have an emergency operation 6 weeks ago and had to have his leg amplitated. This was a shock to us all, least of all him. So many adjustments have had to be made and we are trying to help him along the way to make life easier and more dependant for him. He needs specialist help, equipment and rehabilitation.
He's doing amazingly well so far, very positive. Unfortunately he still has no washroom facility and is still sleeping on the sofa and has no independent transport. All which will help with his recovery.
