Bangladesh is a country where there are many poor families. Due to the stereotypical values they hold of gender roles, it makes it difficult for women to support the family and so the man is mainly the breadwinner.

A family in bangladesh however have suffered terribly. The man has suffered from several strokes meaning that he is now bed-ridden. He is therefore unable to continue his proffession of farming. This means his 3 young children, 12, 7 and 5 year olds are temporarily avoiding enrolling at school.

Before his health deteriating, they found it difficult to cope anyways. Both parents had stopped taking their medicined so that they could afford food and travel expenses. Yet now their situation has become even worse.

They need support more than ever.

Which is why I have decided to fundraise for them. Any amount of money will go a long way for them insha’allah.
