Talan Penny died on 4th May 2017 from Rhabdomyosarcoma - a type of soft tissue sarcoma that grows in active muscles of the body. Talan was 19. He was a son, a brother, and a friend to many, and he has left a massive hole in all our lives.

We have started a trust in Talan's name - Talan's Trust - and hope we can raise awareness of childhood cancers and raise money for research into Rhabdomyosarcoma.

We have recently received our registered charity number and are awaiting our Gift Aid registration from HMRC. Once we have this we will register Talan's Trust as an official charity with Just Giving. In the meantime we have set up this crowdfunding page, enabling us to raise money in Talan's name while we wait for all the paperwork to be sorted!

The first event on the 19th Nov for Tal's birthday - a run of 19 km called the #TAL19. The run was a great success and we are so grateful for the support of all our runners, volunteers, cake bakers, spectators and to those who gave money. We were so proud of everyone involved.

We are really pleased to be taking a team of ten runners to the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 4 March 2018. If you would like to sponsor someone who is running, then please make sure you include the name of who you are supporting when you make your donation - thank you.

With the money we raise from our events and activities we wish to support the work of two full time Rhabdomyosarcoma researchers, funded by the Chris Lucas Trust and working at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
