    Story

Taxi Gratis is a personal humanitarian project, started in April, 2013. Being aware of the transportation problems the people with health/financial problems have when they must travel to/from hospitals, and also because i encountered the same problem with my mother (who died of cancer 3 years ago), i decided to get involved personally in this matter.

I help people with heavy health and financial problems, transporting them for free from/to the hospital (handicapped, blind, people suffering of cancer, leukemia etc.) Our national medical service doesn't provide a transportation vehicle for the people that are in bad condition when they get out from the hospitals. I wish to help more people and i need your support to do it further.

My name is Alex Bobes, i am 27 years old and i live in Bucharest, Romania.

Funding the project since 2013 from my own budget was hard, because i had to cover all the expenses (gasoline, car parts etc.), but i managed to do it and help around 10-15 persons/week. There are many helpless people, old persons, handicapped & blind out there, they all depend on us. I want to extend this project in all areas of Bucharest and be at their side.

Because i use my personal car, often i cannot help the people with not foldable wheelchairs. I intend to buy an adapted car for people in wheelchair and transport them safe.

You can see the project's history on our website (http://www.taxigratis.ro) and on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Taxi.Gratis.ro).

    Other Ways You Can Help
Get the word out about our project, promote it in any way you can, share it, we are grateful for your involvement. If more persons will discover the project, the bigger is the chance to develop it and help faster the people in need.
