Story
As part of our university course we are dedicating our time to volunteering and fundraising for Glasgow NW foodbank. In 2016, a total of 53,307 food parcels were issued to residents of Glasgow NW, a 46% increase from the previous year. This time last year the foodbank ran out of parcels and had to appeal to the public for donations. Foodbanks rely heavily on donations and volunteers to continuously help those in need within the community.
To end our time volunteering, our team will be climbing Ben Lomond on the 13th of April as a fundraiser for the food bank. This challenging climb of 3,193ft will be worthwhile for this invaluable cause. Both our team and Glasgow NW Foodbank would greatly appreciate any donations.
