Taylor’s Story

For my 9th birthday I would like to raise money for the Maternity ward at Macclesfield District General Hospital by doing a 24hr sponsored silence. The hospital means a lot to me because I was born there and had to spend a long time there afterwards because my mum was very poorly after having me.

The sponsored silence will give me the opportunity to give a little something back to say thank you for looking after me and my mum and in particular will help provide supplies for its babies and mums.

My sponsored silence will involve being silent for 24hrs, 6 of these will be during the school day. I have had to seek permission off the teachers and the head to write everything I want to say down on a white board in order to communicate.
