Story
On New Years Eve a terrible car accident occured near Truro. The family involved are one of the most hard working and supportive families I have ever met. The Taylor family are known not only through the cornish equestrian community but also the football community too.
On New years eve Shelly, Caitlin and Tarryn were involved in a life threatening car accident. Caitlin is incredibly bruised and battered but was able to leave the hospital last night (Friday) however devoted Wife and Mum Shelly was transferred to Derriford with both legs broken incredibly badly and severe concussion, but worse of all 8 year old Tarryn was transfered striaght to Bristol Childrens Hospital with a broken neck where she remains in an induced coma. Dad, Barry is by Tarryn‘s side and a relative is hoping to visit Shelly who is currently all alone in a very fragile state. There is hope for poor Tarryn but she will have an incredibly long road to recovery ahead of her, she is a seriously tough little girl who has never let anything stand in her way before so I know she wont stop fighting now. Tarryn has one of the top Neurologists working on her so we will keep everything crossed for her.
Shelly and Barry have always worked incredibly hard to not only provide for their family but also support their local football and riding clubs with hours and hours of help. As long as I’ve known Shelly she has always had 2 if not 3 jobs on the go as well as being a Mum of 5 along with all the horses and pets. During lockdown Shelly spent her days baking cakes of all kinds and delivering them to people to keep up the moral in her local community.
I have set up this page to raise some money to help the family with their basic needs. Barry will remain with Tarryn and poor Shelly is lying in her hospital bed all alone worrying not only about Tarryn’s condition but feeling hugely concerned about the rest of her family simply functioning whilst neither of them are able to be at home, so the last thing they need to be concerned about is money. If you can please donate to this amazing family, 2020 might have been difficult for everyone but 2021 is going to be a very difficult year for the Taylor‘s.
Thank you for reading

3 years agoNow Shelly... Well if you’ve ever met Shelly you know what an incredibly determined lady she is. So not only has she had major surgery to have her left leg practically fully re-built she’s already up and starting to walk around! The fantastic news is Shelly will not only be making her way home to Truro for a bit to isolate but she’s then heading off to Bristol to see Barry and of course Tarryn! If she doesn’t stop with both legs severely broken what on earth will stop her?! All I can say is these Taylor’s are just amazingly tough

3 years agoHello everyone, I’m sorry I haven’t been keeping the page as up to date as I’d like but I’ve been in contact with Jaymee nearly everyday and everyday I’ve been getting more and more positive news! Tarryn has not only had her breathing tube out but she is chatting away, she’s been moved down a ward level onto the High dependency unit and is enjoying watching Star Wars on her tablet! Hopefully in the next few days she will have her neck fused and then will have the halo removed and be allowed to wear just a neck brace!

3 years agoAn update from eldest daughter Jaymee: Mum had what will hopefully be the last operation yesterday, we have facetimed her today and she is her usual cheeky, sarcastic self telling me how horrible the hospital food is. Tarryn has had an MRI and X-rays to check her halo brace and they’re clear which is amazing. She’s still heavily sedated but is wiggling all fingers and toes, she is also squeezing dads hand and giving signals for what she wants. Hopefully within the next few days her breathing tube can come out and we can go from there.
