We are Team 21 FRIENDS, a new voluntary organisation set up to support children and adults with Down’s Syndrome in the South Wales area and we are based in Cardiff.

Our aim is to help families and professionals in all aspects of the education and care of individuals with Down’s Syndrome.

We are fundraising to help us work with families, schools and healthcare providers to promote awareness and inclusion in our community and across the country.

We also want to become a registered charity to gain an additional level of public recognition and trust to help further fundraising efforts and to provide more services throughout South Wales.

Any money raised will go towards the provision of:

• Attaining registered charity status

• Workshops and assemblies for Primary and Secondary schools

• Outreach services to healthcare providers

• Social events

• Fortnightly CAN (Children with Additional Needs) coffee and chat groups

• Help for parents applying in for benefits, statementing and getting appropriate care for children

• New parent visits

• Social and fundraising events
