    Story

Birmingham Children's Hospital Transplant Team have been involved in the British Transplant Games (www.britishtransplantgames.co.uk) for over 20 years now.

The British Transplant Games takes place annually over a four day period in different parts of the UK and is now in its 40th year.

Transplanted athletes attend from all around the UK to compete in a range of sporting disciplines and to meet other organ transplant recipients and their families. Team BCH compete in a variety of sports and attend various social events over the four days of competition.
Team BCH take between 35-45 transplant recipient patients, plus their parents, siblings and extended family members to each games. BCH has won many, many awards over the years and has secured the overall Best Children’s Team Trophy for the last 20 years.

We are fundraising to meet the costs of an all weather 'team' gazebo to act as our team HQ at the event, to offer shelter to our competitors at outdoor events and be a place for the team to meet and support each other throughout the days events.
