It is a well-known fact that Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. The social problem of poverty immediately conjures up images of hard lives on meagre incomes. However, the feminine hygiene needs of menstruating females are not given a second thought. The availability of sanitary products is all but non-existent and girls on their period are forbidden from attending school which shatters their dignity, implies shame and not least has an adverse effect on their education.

From 21st-24th June 2019, two friends, Dee and Gail, collectively calling themselves 'Team Tampon' are taking part in a wacky rally, entitled, 'Nutty to Nice' which commences in Lille, northern France and finishes in Nice in the south of France. The route, (with additional daily challenges), takes us over the Alps where our bonkers rally car will turn heads and raise awareness of our cause.

All monies raised will be given to St. Peter's Malawi Education Trust (SPMET), (Charity No.: 1171615), for the purchase of menstrual cups.
