About a couple of years ago when I first started working as Doctor, I was saddened by the thought that young sick people have to spend their time in hospital over Christmas. Particularly those kids who have terminal illness such as cancer or those needing ongoing care for chronic conditions. I started off raising some money from my Doctor collegues then buying a few teddies, wrapping them up and delivering them to various paediatric wards. This worked well and although I didn't get to see the kids open these presents first hand, I was told by the nursing staff that each kid thoroughly enjoyed opening a gift on Christmas day.

Please help me do this on a bigger scale this year and provide for children predominately in Leicestershire hospitals. We need about twenty teddies at around £10 each. The more the merrier and we could even send these to other hospitals in the country.
