Hi all
Myself Joe and Ian will be walking from Lyme Regis to bowleaze cove Weymouth. The 30 mile walk will take place on Saturday the 3rd of November 2018.
We are hoping to raise as much money for the Dorset based charity Teddy20.

The charity raises money for children fighting cancer.
In 2008 a young Ted Newton was diagnosed with a very rare form of bone cancer called EWINGS SARCOMA.

During the first few months of Ted's diagnosis the newton family was overwhelmed by the kindness, support and generosity of CLIC SARGENT, that in May 2009 Owen Newton decided he wanted to give something back to the organisations that had helped Ted and the Newton family though there turbulent time.

With a cricket background Owen decided to put on a 20-20 cricket match in there home town of Blandford.
It proved to be such a success. With the help of local people organising raffle prizes and baking cakes that over £2000 was raised.
This gave the idea along with Ted's input to call the event Teddy20, which is a play on the cricket shorter game of twenty 20.

Sadly after an immense fight Ted passed away peacefully in June 2010 at the tender age of 10.

After continued fundraising, in May 2014 Teddy20 became a registered charity in England and Wales and has raised over £250,000.
The charities purpose continues to provide financial and emotional support to children and families undergoing treatment for cancer.
