I am Teresa ('Aunty Teresa') from Bangladesh now living in Salford and I managed to escape a life of poverty back home; today I want to every child in the villages I grew up to have access to a school.

I need your help to build a boarding school which will serve the remote villages around Ambari & Nairbari, Faridpur, Bangladesh.

It is a place where the children have literally nothing, the villages are so far apart there is no central school. The children are often left to roam on their own, left to dream, and I believe being in school is the greatest gift we can give them.

For a young girl in these villages no education can mean being sold off as a child bride; in my village a nine-year-old girl has been given as a child bride recently. You can help prevent this by supporting my effort to raise the £30,000 funds needed to build a boarding school in Naibari, Ambari, Bangladesh. This will be through the local pastor and friend Rev. Monoranjan so the £3,000 is the starting funds that we need to launch this project.

I will update you on the progress and keep going until every child in the remote villages of Bangladesh gets an education.
